The foundation of Sara Masüger’s work is the haptic and the physical memory in relation to the space. Works are closely related to architecture and language too, she searches for an interaction and communication between the work and the space, in which way the space/room gets visible. She questions scale in relation to the body. It is less about reproduction and more about a physical memory. She believes that concentration provokes 'accidents', and accidents are the potential to understand what is going on.  She focuses on the moment when things collapse, when they break. It is the moment when we get what we couldn't imagine. Broken things transport us to the past and the future in one go. First we reconstruct them in our head, then we imagine them fixed. It's this movement in which she is interested.
